It’s colder today than yesterday.  Only a few brave birds make their way to the feeder.

As I sit on the deck and listen to the rain on the metal roof and the wind chimes …  it’s so peaceful. Whenever I step out on the deck Gabby comes running from wherever she is on the property; meowing all the way.  She bounds up the steps and jumps up into my lap, where she curls into a ball then snuggles in.  A black bird sits at the feeder and sings a beautiful song. There’s a sole red cardinal sitting in the tree across the way.

It’s spring and the hummingbirds are back. A pair of the tiny birds chase each other away from the feeder and then return one by one to drink the sugar and water nectar. Wash, rinse, repeat.

If I sit very still and wait patiently, God reveals His creation to me in the awesome beauty of nature.

Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10
